The BT-X system is highly flexible and expandable, reporting alarm/trouble conditions either by connecting directly to various devices or by interfacing with a fire alarm control panel for zone-based reporting.

The BT-X reports on the status of connected zones and its own operational status, including monitoring power, battery, and fault conditions. It is designed to monitor fire alarm control panels and comparable systems.

The BT-X is so flexible it can be set up to remotely control equipment such as gates, runway barriers, door openers, lighting, HVAC dampers, and pump activation inputs. Its outputs can also power remote annunciator LEDs.

The BT-X model offers several upgrade paths. It can be enhanced for mass notification by upgrading to the BT-XM. Furthermore, the BT-X can be upgraded to incorporate features like access control and intrusion detection. Additionally, Monaco’s XR-2 repeaters allow the BT-X system to be expanded with remote detection devices.
